This year’s historic 150th Open Championship in St Andrews is only a couple of weeks away and we are proud to be The Official Spirit of The Open.
That’s why we wanted to take you on a journey that will Explore the Spirit Within. A journey that will take you from the banks of Loch Lomond to the greens of the Old Course.
We have partnered with one of the UK’s most respected photographers - Jonathan Daniel Pryce (aka @garconjon) - to explore both the spirit of the people who make our Loch Lomond Distillery what it is and the spirit that makes St Andrews such an iconic setting for golf and in particular The Open. Jonathan’s honest and authentic photography style connects his subjects with the camera in a truthful way that gives us a real sense of who they are. He truly captures ‘the spirit within’ each individual.
Jonathan has spent time getting to know and understand the role and spirit of people like our whisky blender Ashley, our stillman Sean and our cooper Gerry. He has understood what connects them to the spirit of The Open. The respect for tradition, the continual striving for perfection and the savouring of well-earned success.
