For our third Remarkable Makers collaboration, we have partnered with Scottish folk musicians Charlie Grey and Joseph Peach. Known for their unique twist on traditional folk music, Charlie and Joseph draw deeply from the heritage of Scottish storytelling, bringing fresh, contemporary soundscapes that reflect the landscapes of Loch Lomond - a location they describe as “one of our favourite places in Scotland.”
At Loch Lomond Whiskies we strive to explore new depths of flavours, pushing the boundaries of our whisky making capabilities and elevating the already remarkable nature of our spirits.
Our Remarkable Makers series sees us expand our search for innovation and adeptness in particular crafts by partnering with like-minded creators, makers and craftspeople from different industries to inspire our future endeavour.
Just as Loch Lomond Whiskies balances tradition and innovation, Charlie and Joseph experiment with layers, blending fiddle, accordion, and piano in ways that capture both heritage and creativity.
Their music, like our whisky, requires exploration, collaboration, and a touch of spontaneity. As the duo puts it, “It’s almost like a conversation”—one that allows them to discover new textures and depth in every note.
Founded in 2013 and based in London’s vibrant Borough Market, the hugely popular bakery Bread Ahead has become a destination for both Londoners and food lovers from across the globe.
We’ve worked with the team at Bread Ahead to showcase the journey they take to craft their beautiful artisanal bread, to help inspire a new appreciation for the importance of both ingredients and process. Our partnership explains the role of yeast in the whisky-making process and uncovers the story of our new Distillery Edition, which has been crafted using chardonnay wine yeast, an unusual and innovative ingredient in the world of whisky-making.
Our Original, 12-Year-Old Perfectly Balanced, and 18-Year-Old, are all crafted with layers of flavour. Each
expression is unique yet shares Loch Lomond’s distinctive character, something made possible through our master blender’s skill, our on-site cooperage, and – of course – our remarkable stills. Like Charlie and Joseph’s music, these whiskies reflect “the possibilities of something new” with every pour, inviting a deeper experience of Loch Lomond’s craft.
This collaboration celebrates the spirit of Loch Lomond - in place, in whisky, and in song - where tradition meets innovation in every sip and every note.
