After a hugely successful sponsorship activation programme for The 147th Open at Carnoustie in 2018, Loch Lomond Whiskies embarked on the second year of their five year partnership with The R&A as the Official Spirit of The Open.
From the 15th to the 21st of July, the Loch Lomond Whiskies team were on course at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland. The onsite activation included tasting stations around the course where guests could sample a dram of Loch Lomond 12 year old. Over 12,800 spectators entered the bespoke on-site Loch Lomond Whiskies bar which served the full range of Loch Lomond Whiskies and exclusive cocktails created especially for the week: The Country Club, Lomond Lemonade and Dramble. Guests were also treated to free tasting master classes run by Master Blender Michael Henry and brand ambassador Ibon Mendiguren. The bar also held a series of Q&As including Loch Lomond Whiskies brand ambassador Darren Clarke, Craig Connelly, David Howell, Rich Beem all hosted by Iona Stephen (Sky Sports Golf).
